Meet Your Therapist
Patricia Ellis, LMSW
Hello and welcome!
I’m Patricia, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a deep commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges and helping them create meaningful, balanced lives. I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Boise State University and my Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in several roles within the mental health field, including as a Certified Peer Support Specialist, a long-term care certified behavioral/skilled nursing aide, and as a Targeted Service Coordinator where I advocated and provided case management for adults with developmental disabilities. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the diverse ways people navigate challenges and they further reinforced my passion for providing individualized, client-centered care.
I take an eclectic and holistic approach to therapy, blending evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other trauma-informed care approaches. I currently practice under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as I work toward my clinical licensure.
I understand that every person is unique, which is why I tailor therapy to fit your needs. My approach prioritizes practical strategies that improve day-to-day functioning while creating space for deeper reflection and healing when you're ready. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore challenges, gain insight, and build the tools needed to move forward with clarity and confidence.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, late ADHD diagnoses, neurodivergence spectrums, and other mood and developmental disorders. No matter what brings you to therapy, my goal is to meet you where you are, help you navigate stressors, and empower you to take control of your future.
Beyond my clinical work, I believe in continual learning, self-reflection, and personal growth. Whether I’m engaging in professional development, crocheting, or spending time with my spouse and children, I remain committed to being the best therapist I can be for my clients.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to work with you.
